Cape Town is a vibrant city full of adventure that we could not wait to catch a hold of.

After getting back from Robben Island we were greeted with a treasure: Josh, the sea lion. We were all delighted to be graced with his presence and were eager to take photos. The group decided to split to find the adventures that were waiting for them. Some ventured to the aquarium and others wanted to see what the city would bring them.
The waterfront is full shops and fun places to eat. Those who went off to explore were greeted with a beautiful performance done by a traditional South African group. We were absolutely mesmerized by the singing and dancing of the group. Of course we then had to explore the shops that were calling our names. The waterfront has something for everyone. From traditional African souvenirs to some of your favorite stores in America, no one was left disappointed.

Another group was off to the aquarium to see more of our sea friends. They saw everything from jelly fish to South African penguins. The aquarium included many exhibits to show off the best of sea life. The jelly fish area was glow in the dark to show off their unique shapes and colors. There were sharks galore along with a viewing area with all sorts of animals. The aquarium even included an interactive area for visitors to get a feel for the ocean. The one area all were excited for was the penguins. Not only did the exhibit have a variety of penguins, it included the variety of penguins specific to South Africa.
Tonight was about what Cape Town could bring to us. Where would we be called? What were we willing to try? How can I get the most out of this vibrant city? Only we will know what the adventure brought us, but just maybe this is a peek into what we found.
